Slate
Slate of Xingzi is also called green stone, locates in Xingzi county of Jiangxi province. It is widely used as ink-slabs about 900 years ago in ancient China. And it has been used as construction material and billiard table in recent years, widely welcomed in the countries such as Japan, Korea, South East Asia and West Europe,etc.
Xingzi slate contents major minerals such as sericite, quartz, light oblique chlorite, plagioclase, calcite and a small amount of pyrite. Every layer of the slate is about 2-10cm thick, mainly 3-5cm thick.
Xingzi slate is rich in reserve. The quarry has 60.96 million cubic meters of slate blocks, which can produce 1.829 billion square meter of the tiles.
